Tufts University offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate level courses dealing in full or in part with the Middle East and North Africa. Courses available through The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and the School of Arts, Sciences & Engineering aim to develop students’ understanding of the cultures and people of the region.

Undergraduate students may pursue an interdisciplinary major in Middle Eastern Studies, which complements a broad approach to the region with opportunities for cultural immersion. Graduate students at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy may complete a field of study in Southwest Asia and Islamic Civilization.
